چکیده

The electronic structure of the superconducting surface sheath in a typeII superconductor in magnetic fields Hc2 < H < Hc3 is calculated selfconsistently using the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations. We find that the pair potential ∆(x) exhibits pronounced Friedel oscillations near the surface, in marked contrast with the results of Ginzburg-Landau theory. The local density of states near the surface shows a significant depletion near the Fermi energy due to the development of local superconducting order. We suggest that this structure could be unveiled by scanning-tunneling microscopy studies performed near the edge of a superconducting sample. PACS numbers: 74.60.Ec Typeset using REVTEX

On the Crossover from Bcs Superconductivity to Bose Condensation

We outline a microscopic approach to the superconducting fluctuations and pairing correlations in the attractive Hubbard model above Tc, using the functional integral method. A crossover from BCS superconductivity to Bose condensation of preformed pairs is studied by constructing the appropriate Ginzburg–Landau functionals. The differences between the lattice and the continuum models are discus...

Temperature dependence of the superconductivity-induced collective mode in the c-axis infrared spectra of bilayer cuprate superconductors

The low-temperature spectra of the c-axis infrared conductivity of bilayer high-Tc cuprate superconductors (HTCS) exhibit two superconductivity-induced modes [Li Yu et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 100 (2008) 177004; and references therein]. Both can be understood in terms of a microscopic theory developed recently [J. Chaloupka, C. Bernhard, D. Munzar, Phys. Rev. B 79 (2009) 184513]. Here we summarize...

ابررسانایی در کوپراتهای بهینه آلاییده: برنامه BZA به خوبی کار می‌کند و ابر تعادل چسب است

Resonating valence bond states in a doped Mott insulator was proposed to explain superconductivity in cuprates in January 1987 by Anderson. A challenging task then was proving existence of this unconventional mechanism and a wealth of possibilities, with a rigor acceptable in standard condensed matter physics, in a microscopic theory and develop suitable many body techniques. Shortly, a paper...

Self-consistent current-voltage characteristics of normal-superconductor interfaces

We study the nonlinear transport properties of NS (normal-superconductor) and NSN structures by means of a self-consistent microscopic description. A nonzero superfluid velocity causes the various quasiparticle channels within S to open at different voltages. The gap reduction is very sensitive to the details of quasiparticle scattering. At low temperatures, superconductivity, some times in a p...
